Who is Steph?
I’m a writer, teacher and mentor in personal development. My passion has always been about the spiritual journey, the one of self-discovery. All the work I do is about going inwards to deal with difficult emotions and relationships. To achieve this, I’ve been using spiritual and healing modalities such as guided meditation, kinesiology, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) & ZPoint to help clients, students and other practitioners. Besides studying a lot, I’ve travelled to places such as Peru and India to experience and train under various traditions and masters.
In the past few years I have focused more on writing self-help books on the topic of how to set better boundaries.
Why do I focus on setting boundaries?
I believe that setting boundaries is a highly underrated and misunderstood concept, one that is key to our personal and spiritual growth. Once we begin choosing and setting boundaries wisely, many emotional issues will fall away. And, of course, we often need to clear some issues before we can take action. Setting boundaries often pushes us to understand ourselves better – and to heal the emotional issues that stand in the way.
I’m a firm believer that someone can show you the path, but you must walk it, immerse yourself in it and see it through. No one can do that for you. We create our lives day by day, moment by moment, through the choices we make. And I know that with the right tools and support, we can all make the choices that lead to happy, fulfilling lives. The power to change lies within, but sometimes we need a little help to unleash it.
And when you are not writing, teaching or mentoring?
I love being in my garden or out in nature. If I’m not working or out in nature, then you’ll find me reading – yes, you’ve guessed – non-fiction books.
